Daypart targeting (or simply dayparting) is a strategy for delivering impressions at specific times of the day or on specific days of the week. This feature lets you reach an audience when users are most likely to be engaged and responsive, which could result in more effective ad spend.
This tool is in the path settings panel. Open a campaign on Journey Canvas, locate a path, and click the pencil icon. The path settings panel displays.
Go to the Budget & Scheduling heading and click Edit. Scroll down to the Daypart Targeting heading. The default setting is to run ads all the time (24-7). Click the other radio button to add custom settings.
Go to the grid and click and drag a gray box to highlight a block of time. You can add more blocks—that's optional. Click Save. Note that all times are based on the Eastern time zone.
Let's say you created a CTV campaign to run video ads in the US between 7 and 11 pm. You could configure the daypart settings for the Eastern time zone - but what about another area like the American West Coast? The solution would be to create a path for the Eastern time zone, clone that path, and then set Geographic targeting parameters for the US West Coast (i.e. allow California, Washington, Nevada, Idaho, and parts of Oregon).
