An advertiser account is a child org with unique characteristics and functions. Each advertiser is normally associated with a specific brand, acts as a folder for illumin campaigns, and (optionally) has an admin user (which we call Campaign Manager). Among other duties, the Campaign Manager receives notification emails related to the advertiser or campaign.

The illumin wizard makes it easy to create advertisers. The wizard has three stages. Click a heading link below to jump to a section in this guide.
To create a new advertiser, or update an existing one, go to the top right corner and click the gear icon in the menu bar. The Settings page displays.
On the Settings page, scroll down to the Advertisers tab and click Edit.
Click New Advertiser. Fill in the form (see below), and click Save & Next. Optionally, click a pencil icon to review or update settings for an existing advertiser
FYI, all supported currencies are added to the Licensee and can be set as a default for all Advertisers under an Agency. All campaign costs are reported in the currency selected. Once the currency is selected, it cannot be changed. Note that you will still receive invoices in the currency specified in your contract, regardless of the currency chosen for advertisers.
Select a user to be the Campaign Manager. Click the field and choose a name. Optionally, you can leave the field blank and add a user later. Click Save & Next to load the next page. After you complete the initial advertiser setup, illumin sends the Campaign Manager (if selected) a notification email.

Targeting is a ginormous time saver that helps campaign managers ensure their campaigns zoom in on the right people and land in the right places. Basically, this Targeting step acts like a template with a melange of customizable geo-techno-socio-economic parameters. If you configure parameters at the advertiser level (which, BTW, is an optional step), these settings are automatically applied to new journeys, which then flow down to individual tactics or path steps on the canvas. If you were wondering, these advertiser-level settings are not retroactively applied to previously drafted or built journeys.
I know some of you bristle at the thought of one size fits all, so pay close attention. The campaign manager can override these settings and customize targeting parameters at the journey and tactic levels.
After saving the advertiser, illumin adds a record to the table.
