This article shows marketers how to connect campaigns on the Canvas (new experience).
A connection is a bridge between two or more campaign blocks. It also acts as a filter. Audiences move forward in the funnel only when they meet defined criteria, which are called conditions, such as reaching a certain level of exposure or engagement.
Why use connections
Connected campaigns unlock powerful advantages for marketers.
- Orchestration: Move audiences step by step from awareness to conversion in a single, coordinated campaign.
- Precision: Control who sees each message and when. This avoids wasted impressions, limits overexposure, and ensures audiences get the right message at the right time.
- Attribution: Understand which campaigns and media drive results across the full funnel.

Steps to build a connection
- Create two or more Open Web campaigns on the Canvas (new experience).
- Hover the campaign that will start the journey (i.e. the source).
- Locate the plus (+) icon on the edge of the campaign block.

Next, click the icon and drag the line to the destination campaign block. The line auto-snaps to the block. However, the line won't snap to an ineligible campaign block (e.g. DOOH).

When the connection completes, the Connection block displays.
- The top of the block shows the source campaign, which is marked by a dot inside a circle. The line points to the destination campaign. Click here to learn how to change the destination campaign.
- The bottom of the block shows the conditions that filter audience flow from one campaign to another. Click here to learn how to configure condition settings.

Steps to add another source
Optionally, you can create a journey with two source campaigns that feed into one destination.
- Complete the first connection and add at least one condition (you can change that later).
- Locate the second source campaign and drag a line to the destination, as described above.

Next steps
- Configure settings for each campaign separately (e.g. audiences, creatives targeting, etc.).
- Configure conditions for each connection.
Notes
You cannot build connections with Digital Out‑of‑Home campaigns.
It's not possible to connect one source campaign to two or more destination campaigns.
