How to Build Campaign Connections

This article shows marketers how to connect campaigns on the Canvas (new experience).

A connection is a bridge between two or more campaign blocks. It also acts as a filter. Audiences move forward in the funnel only when they meet defined criteria, which are called conditions, such as reaching a certain level of exposure or engagement.

Why use connections

Connected campaigns unlock powerful advantages for marketers.

Steps to build a connection

  1. Create two or more Open Web campaigns on the Canvas (new experience).
  2. Hover the campaign that will start the journey (i.e. the source).
  3. Locate the plus (+) icon on the edge of the campaign block.

Next, click the icon and drag the line to the destination campaign block. The line auto-snaps to the block. However, the line won't snap to an ineligible campaign block (e.g. DOOH).

When the connection completes, the Connection block displays.

Steps to add another source

Optionally, you can create a journey with two source campaigns that feed into one destination.

FAQs

What is a connection on the Canvas?

Can marketers connect multiple source campaigns to one destination?

Marketers can connect multiple source campaigns to one destination campaign. Each source must include at least one condition that controls which audiences qualify to move forward in the journey.
