Use the Change history tool on the Canvas (new experience) to track updates made to a published campaign or its tactics. Change history connects platform edits to shifts in performance metrics, so you can review what changed and when. Use the deep links to quickly move from the Change history table to the relevant platform field. Data is available for the past 12 months and logs updates beginning January 7, 2025.
illumin’s Change history tool connects journey updates to shifts in performance metrics, like spend and impressions. While it won’t hand you a full cause-and-effect breakdown, it does help marketers spot patterns and link changes to outcomes. With powerful filters and deep linking, it’s easy to track trends and refine strategy.
The tool logs updates starting January 7, 2025, and shows changes from the past 12 months on a rolling basis. One more thing. Deep linking takes you straight from the Change history table to the exact setting you need. No tab maze, or wasted clicks.

The summary table shows the three most recent changes to the campaign or tactic, organized by date and time. Each row lists the user, the updated section (e.g. tactics details or targeting), the type of action (e.g. added, removed, or updated), and the current state of that element.
The Section column includes deep links. Click a link to jump straight to the relevant page and review the details.
Click any link in the Section column to open a deep link to the related settings page. To review more data, click the View detailed Change history button or the Change history tab.
The detailed Change history page includes a performance chart and a changes table.
The performance chart, by default, displays Spend and Impression data for the most recent seven days.
You can trace performance changes in the chart to recorded journey changes. In the example below, the chart shows a slight decrease in daily impressions (grey line), followed by an increase. To learn about the campaign changes that might be linked to these performance changes, locate and click the X-axis dot most likely associated with the performance change (in this example, that's July 14).
Use the Action column in the table to identify the type of change.
Deep linking is a time-saving navigation tool that moves you directly from an action on the Change history table to the relevant platform page or settings field. Bottom line? You can make journey platform updates faster (and with less hassle) because you don't need to close and open a series of pages.
Here's an example. On the Change history table, I notice someone updated the CPM from $5.06 to $5.50. My team needs to confirm this change, so I click the deep link in the Section column. Almost immediately, the page displays the relevant field. Now I can review the setting and, if necessary, update it.
Change history only shows published campaigns and their tactics. Draft campaigns and unpublished tactics do not generate logged changes or performance correlations.
Each change record includes the user name associated with the update. Marketers can open the Details view to confirm who made the change and review the current state of the setting.
Change history does not replace reporting or attribution tools. It complements reporting by showing when structural or settings changes occurred that may align with performance trends on the enhanced Canvas within illumin.
