Marketers add an audience by opening the Audiences tab for a tactic and selecting segments from the library or Marketplace. This workflow assigns allowed or blocked audiences at the tactic level. The process starts from the campaign folder on the Canvas and ends with confirmation on the Audiences page.
Prospecting appears when no audiences exist on the tactic and represents targeting all available users. This default state allows delivery without audience constraints. Marketers can change this state by allowing or blocking one or more audience segments from the library.
Marketers choose Allow or Block when adding a segment from the audience library. Allow includes the segment in targeting, while Block excludes it. Each selection updates targeting rules for the selected tactic and displays the audience on the Audiences page.
Yes, marketers can assign an audience to multiple tactics during the add workflow. This option applies the same allow or block rule across selected tactics. Bulk assignment reduces setup time and keeps targeting logic consistent across related tactics.
